Observe Ohm's law in a complete circuit.

Set voltage and current independently, then watch resistance, power, the circuit meters, and the graph rebalance through Ohm's law.

Voltage–current characteristic

The line shows the resistance implied by your selected voltage and current operating point.

slope = 1 / 330 Ω
CURRENT OBSERVATION

Ohm's law is in balance

9.0 volts across 330 ohms produces 27.3 mA of current.

RELATIONSHIPV = I × R
EXPERIMENT NOTEBOOK / 04

Record and compare measurements

Capture up to eight operating points. Vary voltage while current stays fixed and compare the calculated resistance.

THEORY / 05

One law, three arrangements

Choose the form that isolates the quantity you need. Use amperes, volts and ohms for SI calculations.

Find voltageV = I × R
Find currentI = V ÷ R
Find resistanceR = V ÷ I
GUIDED INVESTIGATION

Predict before you adjust

  1. 01

    Double voltage. Keep the current setpoint fixed; the required resistance should double.

  2. 02

    Double current. Keep voltage fixed; the calculated resistance should halve.

  3. 03

    Open the switch. A broken path makes measured current zero.
